I sadly wasn’t able to attend this one, but I have several writer friends with book proposals I’ve edited that are there right now. They will be meeting with agents this weekend and my heart is overjoyed for them. I know how much work and talent and grit they’ve put into this, and it reminds me again how much I love what I do. Polishing words and rearranging the order of a book proposal seems like a menial task, but to me it is kingdom work. God has given them words to reach hearts. I want to help them present those words with excellence because ultimately, I can’t wait for them to be snatched by a #literaryagent! Get those words out and into the hearts of those who need it. 🎉 So I’m praying for you @theuncommonnormal @rachelfahrenbach @julielefebure ❤️

Working hard on some amazing words by @tinareale.

Working hard on some amazing words by @tinareale. My shirt came from my church and it says “Better Together.”

This applies so well to the writing world. I’ve said it before, but it is really true- there is such joy in helping authors polish words God has given them. When authors and editors work as a team, there is a combined goal of making the book/project as great as it can be. I want my authors to know that I have their book’s best interest in mind. And I love seeing their work launch into the world. I often imagine how God will use it, how lives will be touched. ❤️ By the way, this applies to fiction just as much as nonfiction.
It’s a delight to create invaluable relationships with my authors that other online editing programs just don’t provide. We truly are “better together.”
